Protect Your Baby From Allergies with 2 Simple Steps

Allergies, What a scary word. When I think of this word I sometimes think of peanut allergies or egg allergies, or allergies caused by dust mites. I have also seen people react to areas that have severe cockroach infestation. I know the cockroaches did not cause the asthma but merely brought out the asthma symptoms.

The reason some say kids are getting allergies more than ever is because of lack of nutrition during pregnancy from the mother. It is important for the mother to eat plenty of protein during pregnancy and to keep her diet balanced. 100 grams of protein per day is recommended for pregnant mothers.

If you get watery eyes and sneezing while you are trying to sleep it may be caused by dust mites living in your mattress. Dust mites can also live in your furniture and carpet. One of the reasons why people develop allergies while they are sleeping is because of unclean bedding. One way to do this is to get a mattress protector so you can take it off and clean it, because it is hard to clean an entire mattress.

Dust mites actually feed on you during the night causing a rash when you wake up. When you sleep you shed skin, you can’t see it, but the dust mites feed on it. Dust mites aren’t the only thing that can feed at night. During severe cockroach infestations the cockroaches will feebly feed on your baby’s fingernails and eyebrows.

Bites and rashes can very well be misdiagnosed by a doctor. There has been cases of bed bug bites been treated as an allergic reaction by doctors. It is important to know what is causing the allergic reaction for sure before you start treatment.

Doing all you can to keep allergies at bay is all you can do. There are antifungal and antibacterial mattress covers and baby sleeping bags on the market made by allersafe that actually kill dust mites were they lay.

Another step you can do is make sure you are vacuuming with a hepa filter on your vacuum at least once a week. Besides just vacuuming the carpet you also need to be vacuuming the furniture. Since tummy time is so important for your little one keep that carpet free of dust mites.

Knowing that I am not a doctor and am no way giving medical advice, you still want to give your child the best you can offer. These are just a few tips to help protect your child from allergies and from developing allergic reactions to certain types of irritants.

When I buy sleeping bags for babies I have to keep in mind how sensitive his skin is. Finding a baby sleeping bags sale can be hard to find if you don’t know were to look.
